What Happens After Site Delivery

Once your website has been designed, approved, and finalized, we initiate the final step — transferring ownership to you. This article outlines what happens next, what you’re responsible for, and how to make the most of your new site.

You’re Now in Full Control

After the transfer is complete:

  • Your website will appear in your Wix account

  • You’ll have 100% ownership and control

  • You’ll be able to manage, update, or expand your site however and whenever you like

  • You do not need our permission to make changes to your website

  • You can fully leverage the Wix dashboard, including tools like:

    • Wix Email Marketing

    • Wix CRM

    • Wix Blog

    • Wix Bookings and more

What We Recommend Before You Go Live

Think of this like getting a new phone — you’ll want to go into your settings and make it your own. We highly recommend doing the following before publishing your site live:

  • Update your site settings and notifications

  • Review which email address receives form submissions

  • Connect your payment processor(s)

  • Customize your Wix dashboard preferences

  • Walk through the Wix settings to familiarize yourself with tools and capabilities

You Must Connect Your Domain

You will need to connect your domain to make your site live. This is something only you can do — we do not have access to your Wix account once the transfer is complete.

Here’s how to connect your domain:

Payment Processor Setup

If you plan to accept payments through your site, you’ll also need to:

  • Set up an account with your preferred payment provider

  • Connect your account to Wix through the Payment Settings section

We do not access or configure payment processors on your behalf for security and liability reasons. You can find everything you need here:

Final Reminders

  • You’ll receive an email from Wix to accept the transfer

  • You must accept the transfer within 72 hours or it will expire

  • Once the site is in your account, you are fully in control

  • If you'd like to keep us available for post-launch support, consider adding a Wix Support Package
